Maurice Brozzo has extensive academic research experience and spent more than a decade in the life sciences industry. He studied Biochemistry at the University of Zurich and subsequently received his PhD in Biophysics from ETH Zurich, investigating protein folding and stability in the context of disulfide bond formation and glycosylation. As a postdoctoral researcher at the Paul Scherrer Institute, he applied structural and biophysical methods to study interactions of growth factors  and their receptors. Maurice then moved into the life sciences industry, holding scientific and commercial positions at Cytos Biotechnology, Abbott Laboratories, Curetis, Bio-Rad Laboratories and Charles River Laboratories. His expertise includes business development, drug discovery and development, in vitro and in vivo characterization for efficacy and safety studies of medicinal product candidates, GLP-compliant studies and GMP-compliant production. At the Zurich Hub for Drug and Device Development Maurice oversees Business Development of the GLP- and GMP-platforms, Partnerships and Communication.
